Rules For Authors

1. GENERAL PROVISIONS

The journal "Siberian Journal of Computational Mathematics" accepts manuscripts for publication: review articles, original articles, and short communications. Articles are accepted from citizens of any country in Russian or English.

Manuscripts submitted to the journal must include a mandatory cover letter, in which the author guarantees in writing that the material (in the original or in translation into or from other languages) has not previously been published and is not currently under consideration for publication by other publishers. In this cover letter, the journal's editorial board requests the author to name 3-5 potential reviewers for the work.

The manuscript must be accompanied by a conclusion from the expert council regarding the suitability of open publication.

For the editorial board to decide on publication, the author must submit the manuscript and a cover letter from the author (ссылка на скачивание файла) to the editorial board.

By submitting an article to the journal's editorial board, the author(s) grant(s) the publisher, free of charge, for the duration of the copyright under current Russian legislation, the exclusive right to use the article or any part thereof (if the editorial board accepts the article for publication) in all countries where copyright is protected under international treaties of the Russian Federation. This right includes the following rights: reproduction, distribution, public display, making available to the public, translation into foreign languages, and adaptation (and the exclusive right to use the translated and/or adapted work in the above-mentioned ways), and the right to grant all of the above rights to others.

Send the manuscript by email to sibjnm@sscc.ru. The manuscript and accompanying documents should be archived together (preferably in ZIP or RAR format). If the editors have any questions regarding the submitted manuscript, the editorial board reserves the right to request a printed version (or the fragment that raises questions) from the author.

A manuscript sent to the author for revision must be returned in corrected form within one month. A letter from the author describing the corrections made and containing responses to all reviewer comments must be attached to the revised manuscript.

After acceptance of the manuscript for publication, the author may not make any significant changes or additions. After publication, the author receives a copy of the article (as a reprint) and, upon separate request, a PDF copy of the article.

Manuscripts will not be returned to the author. The editors reserve the right not to enter into correspondence with the author regarding the reasons (grounds) for rejecting the article.

2. MANUSCRIPT STRUCTURE

The following elements of the article are required:

The title of the article in Russian and English, as specific and informative as possible.

A complete list of authors, including their first name, patronymic, and last name in Russian, as well as their Latin transliteration. Corresponding author must be indicated.

Authors' affiliations. Full (unabbreviated) name of the organization, postal address, including city, country, and postal code in Russian and English. If the authors work for different organizations, it must be clear who works for which organization.

Email addresses of all authors of the article. Since articles are sent to authors for review only by email, if an article has only one author, it is advisable to provide an alternative email address in case of technical problems. It is recommended to provide an email address that is checked during vacations or business trips.

Abstract of the article in Russian and English. The abstract should not be too brief and should not contain references to other works. The abstract should be informative and detailed, describing the methods and main results of the study. The abstract should clearly state the research questions posed and the answers obtained. Keywords in Russian and English: 3–10 words or short phrases that accurately reflect the content of the article.

UDC for articles in Russian and AMS for articles in English.

The manuscript itself (main text). When preparing the manuscript, maintain consistency in terminology. Avoid using different names for the same thing. Consistency in notations, systems of units, and nomenclature should be maintained. Abbreviations, except for commonly used ones, should be avoided whenever possible. If abbreviations are used, they should be explained in the text at their first mention.

References. The reference list should adequately reflect the current state of the art in the field of study and not be redundant. It should contain references to available sources. When referencing articles published in Russian/English, be sure to include the translated imprint.

If there are illustrations or tables, they should be arranged in the order they are mentioned. Each illustration must have a caption. If a single illustration contains multiple parts, they must be arranged sequentially and have a common meaning. The number of illustrations should not exceed 10.

If even one of the above elements is missing from the manuscript, the manuscript may be rejected without regard to its presence.

3. MANUSCRIPT FORMAT

Articles must be submitted to the editors in electronic form: a PDF file and a LaTeX file no longer than 16 pages, 11-point Times New Roman font, 1-point spacing, text size 225 mm by 155 mm on an A4 page, with inserted figures in the following formats: PNG, PCX, BMP, EPS, or CDR. The total number of figures in an article should not exceed 10, including subfigures (a, b, c, etc.).

4. WORKING WITH ELECTRONIC PROOFREADING

After receiving the articles and all additional information, the author receives a notification letter about the article's acceptance for production. All reviews submitted to the editors are forwarded to the author. Corrected versions of the articles and the author's responses to the reviewers are sent to the editors. The process continues until the final review is received. Articles that have received positive reviews are submitted to the journal's editorial board for discussion and approval for publication in the relevant issue or for rejection. The editorial board's decision is always sent to the author.

Articles approved for publication are sent to the author for proofreading. All permissible corrections from the author are included in the editorial board's submission. The author receives a notification of the submitted corrections.
