The Artificial Intelligence and Information Technology Laboratory (AIIT Lab) was established in 2022.

The main goal of the laboratory:

  • Development of justified artificial intelligence methods and modern information technologies for solving breakthrough problems of fundamental science and industry

Areas of scientific activity of the laboratory:

  • Creation and justification of machine learning methods
  • Development of methods for analyzing big scientific data
  • Create digital twins of scientific equipment
  • Design and development of platforms for collecting and storing collections of scientific data
  • Creation of information security methods
  • Creation of a standard for trusted interaction of digital systems
  • Development of technologies for protecting artificial intelligence systems from malicious or accidental influences
  • Development of methods of scientific analytics and analytical scientometrics

Current scientific tasks:

  • Creation of the supercomputer center "Lavrentiev" (together with NSU)
  • Creation of methods for analyzing seismic monitoring data (together with IPGG SB RAS)
  • Development of data analysis methods in bioinformatics (together with ICG SB RAS)
  • Development of structure recognition methods on the S-Tau Fabric detector (together with the INP SB RAS)
  • Creation of digital twins for the Center for Collective Use "Siberian Ring Photon Source" SB RAS (together with IC SB RAS, TDI SIE SB RAS)
  • Scientific and educational program on the LOGOS platform (together with Rosatom, RFNC VNIIEF, NSU)
  • Creation of a scientific and engineering center for information security (together with TUSUR, NNSTU, SIB LLC)
  • Development of mathematical and scientometric models and methods for analyzing the development of Russian regions and scientific organizations (together with RIEPP)
  • Development of depersonalization methods for Big Data
  • Development of methods for ensuring information security for high-performance computer systems
